Good Shepherd Therapy is currently enrolled with several insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna, and Tricare East. We would be happy to contact your insurance plan to help you understand how your coverage might apply. Usually, only medically necessary speech therapy is covered and on a co-insurance basis (e.g. 50%). Additionally, your co-insurance benefit will only apply after your annual deductible has been met.

 

Patients are responsible to pay Good Shepherd Therapy for the cost of all services not covered by insurance including all costs until their deductible has been met. Good Shepherd Therapy manages patient billing automatically through its practice management platform, Simple Practice.  New patients provide their credit card information and all intake information online through our Simple Practice Client Portal.

 

Upon request, Good Shepherd Therapy will file claims on your behalf and your insurance company will determine what if any costs count toward your deductible. After your deductible is met you are responsible for all co-pays and co-insurance at the time services are rendered. In some cases, insurance plans will only reimburse you directly and in those cases, you will be responsible to pay Good Shepherd Therapy for all services rendered and then receive reimbursement directly from your insurance for accepted costs. In cases where Good Shepherd Therapy is not enrolled with your insurance provider, upon your request we will provide a superbill for you to file a claim directly with your plan.
